Combine eggs, sugar, melted butter milk, vanilla essence and lemon juice in a mixing bowl and whisk.
Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and give it another whisk. Fold in the chopped pears.
Pour the mixture into a lined loaf tin and bake for 50 minutes.
If you find that the top is browning too quickly, cover in foil. After the cooking time is up you can test by inserting a toothpick in the center. It should come out clean when the bread is ready.
Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before removing from tin, then let cool for a further 20 minutes on a wire rack.
